dinabandhu andrews college was set up on 7th january 1956 as a government sponsored college on a large plot of land owned by the government of west bengal. the only building of the then day college, constructed by the public works department, was three-storied. turned into four-storied much later, it still remains the main building of the college., dinabandhu andrews college, established in 1963, is an undergraduate college in kolkata, west bengal, india. it is affiliated with the university of calcutta. the college campus is free from posters and plastic. the college is the seat of higher studies in the region.
