『冨士三十六景』（ふじさんじゅうろっけい）は、歌川広重により富士山を主題として描かれたシリーズ。本作より前に描かれた葛飾北斎の「富嶽三十六景」から着想していると考えられる。 『冨士三十六景　東都一石ばし』（とうといっこくばし） 画面手前に描かれた一石橋は日本橋の隣に架かる橋で、両側に後藤家の屋敷があったため「五斗五斗」で一石と名付けられたと言われている。奥に見えるのが「銭瓶橋」、さらに奥に小さく描かれているのが「道三橋」である。平行に重なり合う橋と直行に流れる水路が人と船の行き交いで強調されている。 『冨士三十六景　東都駿河町』 東京都の日本橋にあるこの町は富士山が正面に見える為、富士のお膝元である駿河から取って駿河町となった。作中では右側に三越百貨店の前身の越後屋が描かれ、奥には富士山の頭が顔を覗かせる。三十六景の中でも街並みが一番大きく描かれた作品である。 『冨士三十六景　東都数寄屋河岸』 江戸城の南東、数寄屋造りの屋敷が多かった地区の事を数寄屋町と名付けられた。画面中央には石積みの土手があり町人達の往来が描かれている。三十六景の中で唯一雪景色が描かれた作品でもある。 『冨士三十六景　東都佃沖』 佃島は徳川家康が江戸入府の際に摂津国佃村の漁師たちに与えた町である。埋め立てられた干潟であり画面中央に大きく描かれた葦原が特徴的である。この地域には弁才船と呼ばれる大型木造帆船が多く停泊しており、作中では弁才船の帆柱が垂直に伸び象徴的に描かれている。 『冨士三十六景　東都御茶の水』 画面手前の大きな橋桁が特徴的な橋は神田上水を渡すための掛樋（水道管）で、奥に見える橋が水道橋である。橋の合間を縫って多くの物が船で運ばれており、作中でも酒樽などを運ぶ様子が描かれている。この地は富士山が良く見え浮世絵でも多く描かれている定番の場所だった。 『冨士三十六景　東都両ごく』 画面中央に架かるのは両国橋。この周辺には見世物小屋や茶店が並び江戸随一の遊び場であった。作中の両国橋の周りでは舟遊びを楽しむ人たちが描かれている。橋の上では大名行列が行われており非常に賑やかな様子が伝わってくる。 『冨士三十六景　東都隅田堤』 隅田川から富士山を眺める図。同じく隅田川からの眺めを描いた「東都両ごく」よりも落ち着いた自然の中で富士山を見れる地である。両ごくと同様に多くの人が訪れ、特に文人墨客に愛されていた。作中では常磐津節の芸者達が歩いている姿が描かれている。 『冨士三十六景　東都飛鳥山』 桜の名所として知られる飛鳥山。緩い傾斜と点在する桜の木が心地良いリズムを与えている。作中では行楽に来た音曲の師匠と弟子の女性が描かれている。 『冨士三十六景　雑司かや不二見茶や』 茶屋で休みながら富士山を眺める女性の図。江戸時代にはこのような展望の良い場所に茶屋を開く人が多かった。画面右の小山は雑司ヶ谷の西に位置する鼠山という説がある。この地が浮世絵に描かれるのは大変珍しく広重が実際に訪れて気に入った場所ではないかと思われる。 『冨士三十六景　東都目黒夕日か岡』 現在の目黒雅叙園付近の高台を夕日の岡と呼んでいた。この場所には楓が植えられており紅葉が綺麗な場所であった。作中でも富士山と重なるように紅葉が描かれており秋を感じさせてくれる。 『冨士三十六景　武蔵小金井』 現在も桜の名所として知られる小金井堤が舞台。右に描かれた玉川上水と迫り出す岸、その上に咲く桜のコントラストが美しい。最も巧みなのは桜の幹越しに見る富士山だが、この様な割れた桜は枯れてしまう可能性が高く広重の創作ではないかと考えられている。本作は三十六景の中でも評価が高い一作である。 『冨士三十六景　武蔵多満川』 現在の東京都日野市付近が描かれた図。同名の作品を制作した広重が改良を加えて本作を描いたと考えられている。多摩川では鮎釣りが名物で作中にも釣りを楽しむ人々と今から釣りに出かける親子が描かれている。 『冨士三十六景　武蔵越かや在』 越谷は日光に向かう人々の宿場町だったが本作では宿場の中心地ではなく郊外が描かれている。作中では菜の花が咲く土手を散策する人々が描かれ越谷の景観の良さが際立つ。 『冨士三十六景　下総小金原』 小金井はかつて幕府直属の牧（放牧場）があった。作中にも平原に放牧中の馬が大きく描かれている。三十六景の中で動物が主題となるのは本作のみである。 『冨士三十六景　鴻之台とね川』 鴻之台は現在の千葉県市川市北部に位置する。とね川は現在の江戸川にあたる。この場所は江戸郊外の名所として知られ西側の眺望が良く富士山が綺麗に眺められた。作中左に描かれた人は総寧寺の僧でこの場所を訪れた客人の案内役を務めていた。 『冨士三十六景　武蔵野毛横はま』 画面中央に描かれた松の茂る場所は州干島と呼ばれていたが現在は埋
