established in 1936, the del mar fairgrounds is a world-class public facility which hosts a large variety of events, including the annual san diego county fair and del mar thoroughbred horse racing. events range from large-scale concerts, festivals, trade shows and consumer expos; to sporting events, equestrian competitions and animal shows; and even include personal celebrations like weddings and bar/bat mitzvahs.
