founded in 1886, the summit area ymca is one of the area's leading 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable organizations. our cause-driven mission is providing opportunities; and working side-by-side with our neighbors to help ensure that everyone, regardless of age, income and background, can learn, grow and thrive. our branches are vital, vibrant and valued community centers, which provide meaningful experiences for over 15,000 individuals and families annually with our free and fee-based programs and services in the new jersey communities of berkeley heights, gillette, millburn, new providence, short hills, springfield, stirling and summit.
